Well for one...our QB is a turnover machine. What is it...11 TO's in the 4 games (including pick-6's and sack-strip-fumbles-returned-for-TD's)?

As for McVay's play-calling...I think he's handcuffed. As you pointed out, the 9'ers dared Goff to beat them. They took away the simple passes to Kupp and Goff didn't know what to do. I believe that McVay has adjustments that could be made, but I don't believe he trusts Goff to execute them.
I mentioned in the Game Time Forum that I don't believe that Goff processes all of the information he might need to on any given pass play. And focusing on one aspect (e.g. pre-snap defensive alignment) comes at the expense of another (e.g. play-clock violations). McVay can only do so much hand-holding.
