It's funny you mentioned "Joe Cool".

Many on the board think of Goff as a QB capable of "not losing" a Super Bowl if his surroundings are perfect. Below are some mediocre Super Bowl QB's. I included Smith because several Herd members mentioned his name even though he never played in a Super Bowl.

Career QB Ratings
Foles - 88.4
Flacco - 84
Dilfer - 67
Smith - 83.7
Goff - 89.4 (that includes his rookie year under Fisher - 63.6)

As Goff matures (barring injury) he should get better. I see those QB as a floor not a ceiling.

Mystery QB HOF - 1st five years. Goff's potential ceiling (my biased opinion)
81.1
87.8
88.4
88
94.6

He had a career QB rating of 93. Guess who this QB is? Hint his coach devised the "West Coast" offense.

Goff is actually sitting at a 92.5 career rating as of today, 95.9 in the McVay era and currently at a 95.5 for the 2020 season

Goff is on his way to his third year with at least a 100 QB rating in his first five years..... Brady didn't have one until his 8th year, Brees only had two in his first nine years.....Manning didn't have one until his 7th year and only six over 100 in his 17 year career

Say what you want about Goff, but all the kid does is win and stay healthy......and is well on his way to being up there with some of the greats if he can keep it up and win a couple trophies along the waybeer cheer smiley
