I've been thrown under the bus on this board for my own personal constructive criticism of Goff.
The long time posters on this board that know me a little bit like (in no particular order).. I touted Goff as a future hall of famer prior to him being drafted.
He's underperformed from my pre-draft expectations but I've remained in his corner because I keep seeing glimpses of what my armchair eyeballs told me years ago.
I'm not afraid to critique him and I give him a standing ovation when he deserves it.
He's been my favorite player since the day he was drafted but he can make you cringe and hold your breath when he's put in a big moment.
He's kind of an enigma but I'm still glad we have him.
I'm done with the debates on this board of how good, average, or great his floor vs ceiling is.
For myself, after the Dolphins game, I said he will be more accurately judged by his next 4 games. He's 2-0 so far and I need to see these next 2 games play out.
Now that the Rams have proven their defense looks Super Bowl caliber, he will be even more accurately judged by how he performs in the postseason should they be one of the top seven seeds like almost all of us expect.
5th year QB has little excuses left not to make a big run at the Lombardi with this defense.
We are still in your corner Jared. You have to continue to come out punching like the last 2 games and throw some haymakers along with some beautiful combinations when the postseason begins.
It's still a league of one game at time so continue to do your thing Sunday vs the 49ers.
