I see potential in JG, but I also see flaws. I look at that pass to Cooks in LIII and I think that he shouldn't still be missing passes like that. He waits too late sometimes to let the ball rip - just launch! I remember Coach saying something about math and numbers; why Goff threw that curl against the Bills into far tighter coverage is anyone's guess, but the light should go on for him this year.
I mean, I don't understand it. I can see the problems with some of the things he's doing and I've never been anywhere near an NFL training camp. Why can't he and the Rams fix it?
It's hard to find a qb who did
not have bad games in their 5th year.
Yet here are some folk after 2 good games from the Rams qb acting like he has this enormous set of glaring issues.
I think Goff can keep up what he's been doing the last 2 games and that at the end of the season, it will be clear that he had a bad 2nd quarter of the season and then got steadied after that.
That's my guess/prediction based on his good games this year.
It remains to be seen if that view is right, or if time will side with the view of those who see that bad 2nd quarter of the season as an absolute reveal.
