My point really only pertains to your question about what the Rams offer if they consider him the future starter.
And that point is this: the 2022 market for a guy with little tape as a starter - 7 games in 2020 - will not be the same as it is for a longer established starting LT.
My point was, if the Rams don't make him a market-valid offer after the 2021 season, what happens when a team offers more? Do they not pay him? If not, then they developed a left OT for nothing?
I am thinking of things like the fact that in that before the 2018 season Garappolo got a market-amount 2nd contract offer in spite of having only 7 total starts under his belt at that point.
