The Bucs have outlets built into that offense. What the teams who have beat him have done is take away his outlets. You gotta have a good secondary to beat him, even when he's got crappy wideouts, because he is such a fast processor. That's his skill IMO.
But take away those outlets and cover well and he's gonna look bad. No doubt about it. So hope that's how it goes down. This is a huge game for our secondary because we probably won't be able to drive the field all that much (offense will need short fields to score a lot basically) and we also have kicker probs.
TB doesn’t have RB outlets like Brady had in NE. James White caught 72 balls last year from Brady in NE. The Bucs leading RB receiver RJones has caught 26 in 10 games this year, that translates to 42 balls in 16 games. That’s about a 60% difference from White to RJones.
The numbers show Brady is looking to his WRs as outlets, and the Rams are good enough in the secondary to cause problems. Brady’s deep ball is not what it once was, the guy is 43 years old.
But, yes, Brady is a tremendous processor. He will see stuff fast enough but will he have the system and matchups to capitalize? It reasonable to think not.
