I hear you both on "looking at production" ... but we're looking at the 4th or 5th target on a great team .. and his stats will show that he's worth maybe 6 mil ...
But if you look at his play, blocking, hands, route running, willingness to make catches in traffic and get contested catches, you see you're getting a legit #2 WR ... so how much do you pay for that guy? 6 mil isn't going to cut it.
I think 10 is his floor. 14 his ceiling.
Case in point ...
His stats ... 30-416-2 ...
Mike Williams stats 25-431-3 as the #2.
Robert Woods 42-469-4 Making 16 million.
Many teams that are pressed by the cap won't take the shot at him, but many that watch film on blocking and look at his attributes as well as his numbers will see enough to break out the wallet.
Maybe Im wrong, of course ... I'm just seeing 10 as the floor. Denver? Jax? Chicago? Jets? Buffalo?
