Isn't the solution to cover zero is to have quick inside slant throws to the receivers... That is assuming our receiver can get a quick move to the inside without getting jammed at the line and break free with speed....that is why Brandin Cooks was valuable. Goff needs to look for Van Jefferson and Robert Woods for those inside slants.
The problem with Goff is he relies on Cooper Kupp too much. Goff better practice that inside slant throw to Robert Woods, Van Jefferson and Josh Reynolds....
Was Goff throwing low? Is there a blocking technique for the offensive linemen to keep the defensive linemen from raising their hands up?
Yeah, Goff should have had and thrown to a hot receiver in those cover zero situations. The Dolphins were rushing 6 men, so Goff should've been aware of that and gotten the ball off quickly. Now McVay may not have called -plays that utilized those 5 yard slants, but I still put the blame on Goff because he should recognize the coverage and know to audible to a play with a hot route.
What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of their women.
