It might eventually be proven premature but all we have is all we have. Herbert has been dazzling and commentators are comparing him to Mahomes based on their production. Who is Goff being compared to? Is anyone even comparing Goff?Quote

I understand what you are saying but when I consider Herbert has only played a few games I can't honestly "compare" him to anybody let alone Pat Mahomes! lol
As for Goff, I don't care if they never compare him to anyone else as long as he wins! He is the best QB we've had in 18 years! I said 18 YEARS!!! That's a loooong time my friend.
As for "is McVay more Popular than Goff?"...do you really care about this? Should we care? I honestly cannot tell if you are serious or not.

Was it Montana or was it Walsh?

IMO, The "Age old answer" is: It's a combo of both. You need a good system AND a good player to execute said system.
I still stand by my statement that you are premature in your comparison of Herbert and Goff is not a good analogy due to the small sample size from Herbert. Wentz/Goff comp would work better.
