That Ravens game was an epiphany for McVay not only for his offense but also for his defense.

He learned what he wanted in his defense, and Wade wasn’t the right fit anymore.

We’ve been talking a lot about the pleasantly surprising performance of our OL, yours truly very surprised, but a lot has to do with McVay evolving his offense.

There are still skeptics out there, thinking McVay has oversimplified the offense for Goff. They say Goff isn’t good enough to do anything more than make simple easy throws. And he’s feasted on garbage from the NFCE. I highly doubt that’s the case. I think McVay is back on top of his game and he has a more mature and improved Goff to run his offense.

This Niners game will be a nice test for them.
