its points out that McVay was making changes in 2019 and began running DUO in the Steelers and Bears games
now could McVay like the way the Niners run some of those concepts even in 2019 sure but I don't know that I would go there saying the Rams are stealing those from the Niners
Heck McVay and Shanahan come out of the same system
Here's the thing I know for sure... dude the Rams are running the football again!
I love the run game. And I love stuffing the run on defense. Just because when I played the crappiest feeling was when a team was going to run on you and you knew it and they knew it but you still couldn't stop it. There's just something primal about that. I remember the worst example of that was a team that was calling out not only the run but where they were going to run. We couldn't stop it. It was humiliating man. That game was over by halftime and it was a big blowout, in fact it looked like our loss to Baltimore last season.
Back to the Rams' run game one thing I am surprised not to see is more fullback use. I expected McVay to do that with Mundt this season but apparently I was wrong. Thus far he has prioritized Everett being in the offense and Mundt has been an afterthought. So strangely enough they're doing just about every type of run except for the one I expected lol. This game is really good at flipping your expectations at times.
