I think zn covered the larger points well.
Here’s my 2 cents...
Boom was playing well at LG before the calf injury. Very well, actually. I was focusing on Boom on every snap because his play was among my ‘concerns’ going into the Eagle game. But it was quickly obvious that he was doing just fine. I even posted as much in the GTF. Heck, the whole OL was clicking and the O looked unstoppable.
After Edwards came in he picked up where Boom left off. Edwards played so well that the OL never missed a beat. Very impressive, indeed.
We now seem to have an OL that is starter quality at least 7 deep. What a wonderful improvement over early ‘19 that is! It’s ALMOST as if a smart OL coach had a plan and is executing it beautifully.
The ripple effect benefits of our improved OL are helping other O players at every position and speak for themselves. QB, RB, TE’s, and WR’s all look better through these first 2 games. I’m not sure that the Eagles yet know quite what hit them.
Rams are not ‘there’ just yet. Still rust to knock off and experience together to be gained. But a lot of facets are showing dramatic improvement after the first 2 games.
