The last 4-5 times I have gone to watch football, especially the NFL, it has been nowhere near as fun as the 1990s. It seems more people are looking at Fantasy Football sheets and not really into the games...at all. I have to give local Cowboy fans their due. When I took my Son to see his Ravens last year, the Cowboys fans reminded me of times past. They were really into their game. Everyone else was like stoic zombies. I'd have to say that 1999 was my last REALLY fun Sports Bar year (Seeing all but 4 Rams games that year at my fav Sports Bar helped) But even then, I could see the start of the downward trend.
Also...... I know I beat to death missing my Brother but going to a Sports Bar always takes me back to the very early 90s when he and I had some EPIC EPIC times watching our Gators. Between he and my best friend who passed and was a Sports Bar wingman too, something is just missing.
Yeah Mama and Rambeau, I have thought about Covid and the risks. Even aside from the health risks, I simply think it will REALLY take the air out of the place.
