Coaches looking at stats have context. They know what each guy was supposed to do and where he was supposed to be on any given play.
But fans rarely do. So, we look at the stat sheet and look at a guy like AD and say: wow. The Boys handled him pretty well. Only 1 sack. Right. As Baldy says, he simply wrecks the game all day long in ways that only sometimes show up on stat sheets.
I also want to throw in the INT on Goff. You try throwing the ball when your helmet is nearly ripped off and a giant club pushes your head around nearly 90 degrees. What a horrible missed call. But...... on the stat sheet, Goff gets dinged. Context. Goff had a good night. Not great. But very good. That INT was in no way his fault. And BTW, he had a least 3 decent/good passes dropped so that, too, downgrades his stats.
