I was not at all displeased with Goff in that game, despite the low rating. I don't mean by that that he proved to me he's RW, or Drew, or Rogers... but he got the job done and even though not overly 'flashy' I cannot recall any time during that game worrying about whether or not Goff was ready and prepared to lead the Ram's to the W.

Yes and Goff made a lot of nice throws in the game. But I was not happy with the lack of taking shots downfield. McVay's offense is supposed to establish the run then take shots over the top to ensure the defense is defending the entire field. All we saw was continued re-establishment of the run with few real challenges of Dallas' secondary. Our offense looked like New England's.

Curious what was going on in that secondary and whether that was all about a lack of confidence in the protections.
