What I remember most about the 70’s is always coming close only to be disappointed in the playoffs. It was either bad luck or not having a quality QB. All we really needed was a gut like Bob Griese. Just an accurate clutch guy to compliment our great D.
It’s nostalgic to be back in LA, glad I’m still around to witness it. We have some great memories, but many are bittersweet. Maybe the new uniforms and venue will usher in a wave of success. I have faith in our young coach more than anything.
So many bittersweet memories Maxie...I really thought Ron Jaworski could have been that guy, however, Carroll Rosenbloom loved Pat Haden for all the games he won at USC and didn't realize, Haden was too short and had a pop gun sally of an arm....Anyway had 3 great Head Coaches that came up short in Allen, Knox & Robinson, let's hope McVay can get all of us to the promise land a few more times.
