@Killrazor great point.. People love to hate/doubt and discredit Goff
.."F em" is what I say
.. I honestly think if the Oline just plays average or slightly above average that Goff will be in the MVP conversation in 2020
Agreed! I think Goff p*ssed in some people's cheerios.
He could win the SB, be the MVP and still some would try to give credit elsewhere. Goff isn't a diva QB so maybe he doesn't get the media exposure as others do. That's fine by me.
He is a top 10 QB (maybe higher) in the NFL. He has elite arm talent and is tough as nails. He is not perfect, but then again, who is?
It was mentioned that he "needs" a " good run game and a good coach to succeed. That is true for almost all QB's. I am still waiting on a list of QB's who don't need that. lol
)))))
Good point Ramsdude. No matter what Goff does, including win the Super Bowl and or MVP, he wont get the credit he deserves because Sean Mcvay will get it instead.
The media pegged Goff as a dud from day one and they dont like to be proven wrong. Mcvay tied with Goff gives the media an out clause to escape from looking bad in the event that Goff does anything extraordinary.
Because Goff is a classic pocket passer, much like Jimmy G, he isnt flashy enough to get heavy media exposure like some QB's do. Jimmy G never had a lame duck rookie season like Goff did, and thus, was not labeled a bust like Goff was. They both are very similar QB's but I will take Goff's arm talent over Jimmy G's any day of the week.
Sadly, unless Goff separates himself from Mcvay, and finds success on his own, he may never truly get the respect he deserves as an above average NFL quarterback.
