I know I'm over simplifying or maybe I'm over analyzing: but for me, the new horn looks broken. So you've got a cracked... split... broken horn as your logo? The word I think of when I see it is "weak". On the other hand, the one-piece horn looks solid and strong. As a football fan, it's a no-brainer which one Is a better representation for a football team. It's just hard for me to look at some of the silly things they've done with the logo, numbers on the jerseys, designer patches, gradient colors, ashy gray unis, and broken horn and then take them seriously.
No, you're not simplifying or over analyzing Mama. Everything you say is true. Very well said. I think Jack agrees with you too! You got the "no-brainer" part right. It was someone with "no-brain" who approved these uni/logo changes. This whole thing could have (should have) been avoided by doing a poll on the official site and other social media platforms. That way you got a good idea about what your fan base thinks. They could have rolled out the top 5 finalists and let us vote on them. Instead, we are forced to "accept" something less than what most people would declare an improvement.
This could have been so easy for @#$%&. Just slightly "tweak" the Ferragamo's and 99% of fans would have been THRILLED. Not just "OK" with the changes or wait for them to "grow on you". IMO, any poll regarding the neutering of the Helmet horn would have been shot down in huge numbers. Not asking for the fans opinion was just plain dumb in an Social media era where it has never been easier to get a feel from your fan base.
@#$%& dropped the ball here. Plain and simple.

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
