...regarding the presumed horns on the redesigned helmet.
(sic) "I know a C when I see a C... they've gone away from our unique look for the last 75 years."
Also,
(sic) "Marvin Demoff was my agent and did a great job for me... his son is a good kid but he's not a football guy."
This was a great, insightful, generation gap-type interview for an old fan such as me. One step closer to happily watching YouTubes of the 1979 playoff win at Dallas or the 1967 home-field win against Green Bay again and again rather than invest time caring about whether the 2020 NFL season happens.
Well said Tim. IMO, Jack personifies the name Los Angeles Rams and what it stood for. Tough, fight you all day even with broken bones type player. His one of a kind. He is honest as can be and words things very well. Most importantly, I think he might be one of the most respected players ever. When Jack speaks...people listen.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
