I love having a not only competent, but really good coach. Last year was a down year and we won 9. That is the kind of production I like to see, where 9 wins is considered a down year. Fisher would have been drinking champagne after a 9 win season.
There is no question that McVay is young. There is no question that he has a great football mind. What I think will make the difference is that he is humble (or at least he seems so to me.) Martz was never humble. He had a great mind, but now he is out of the league.
In the end, I think whether McVay becomes a legend depends as much on his EQ as on his IQ, and he seems to be strong here as well. In addition to having a undeniable drive to win.
