Emphasis on ‘surprise’.
Releasing or trading Boom would be the biggest stunner for me. Unless his injuries are far worse than publicly known I think Boom is a lock to stick. In fact, I kinda expect that he might be taking some snaps at LOT from Big Whit by midseason because of Whit’s age and decline. I think Rams see Boom as their future LOT starter.
I find it unlikely that they would bail on Gaines and Obo so soon, either. Only way it would make sense is if two rookies just blow the doors off, don’t you think? Would be a nice ‘problem’ to have, btw.
Everett is a Ram in ‘20, imo. He is on a ‘prove it’ year, of course, but he’s gonna get that year as a Ram.
Brown and Allen? Would be kinda surprising if they left but wouldn’t be flabbergastingly so.
Want 2 other names that could possibly depart via trade that wouldn’t make me fall out of my recliner? Reynolds and/or Hav. That’s right. It would require that their respective ‘backups’ really shine AND that another team made trade offers that the Rams couldn’t pass up, granted. But if such a parley should occur? Ummmmm... Yeah, I could see one or both of those happening. Maybe more likely than some of DaSilva’s suggestions in this piece, frankly.
