I would guess that when the rams put horns on the helmets many people disliked the "gimmick".

So are you saying "today's uni's will be tomorrow's tradition"? Not sure I agree. lol IMO, these uni's and helmet will be gone in 5 years. In fact, I look at it this way...today's mistake is tomorrow's wisdom! IMO, they will learn (if they haven't already) that they just made a BIG mistake by neutering the horn!
