This isn't a knock on Fowler or Wade, but whenever Fowler was on the field didn't you pretty much know who the 4 pass rushers were? Not only is Floyd a better run defender than Fowler but it seems like he's pretty good at covering RBs and TEs as well. So maybe he rushes the passer, but maybe he's dropping into overage. The point is whoever is calling the pass protections for the other team can't just look at the D and know with almost certainty who the primary pass rushers are.
I see similar things in the defensive backfield. Against many teams the QB can walk up to the line and pick out the SS, FS, and corner slot. If the Rams have JJ, Rapp, Ramsey, Long, Burgess, and Hill on the field how is a QB supposed to get a read?

This Staley D will be one unpredictable mofo and a nightmare to play against.
I might add that both AD and Ramsey seem to be quite pleased with not only Staley, but with his D and it’s concepts. Two very important members of this D and two very strong opinion leaders.
