Blinkscout Combine O Line coverage.

March 22, 2020 03:04PM
Watching the combine is way more rewarding now that I'm stuck at home ... also seeing the pre quarantine world is relieving.

I'll let you know who my targets are. Honestly, this area is strange because of the injuries to Allen and Boom. I never really thought Boom was an OG. Allen has great punch and feet, but is he strong enough?

I know many on the board want someone early. I don't see us doing that. I see Edwards and Evans on the right locking that side down and 4 guys playing for 2 spots there on the center and left. So either we want to have 4 guys playing for one spot or we want more depth. I can't see us messing around with a 4th rounder, it should be a 2nd- early 3rd or a 6th/7th

But there's a lot of talent. A lot. And there are some guys I like that may not be scheme friendly. A few guys definitely caught my attention.

Here we go

Trey Adams Washington 6-8 318 5.60 5.60 1.89 DNP DNP 24.5 7-8 9 7/8 34 3/8 Ugly times ... Im getting the sense he may not have actually recovered.

Hakeem Adeniji Kansas 6-4 302 5.17 5.17 1.78 26 DNP 34 9-7 10 33 3/4 Not a fan of his tape. But he was playing outside and he's more likely inside, likely needs a year.

Tremayne Anchrum Clemson 6-2 314 5.21 5.22 1.85 26 DNP 24.5 8-8 9 5/8 33 5/8 Smooth drills. I was pretty impressed.

Ben Bartch St. Johns (MN) 6-6 309 DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP 9 32 7/8 Short arms buddy. Tough break.

Mekhi Becton Louisville 6-7 357 5.10 5.11 1.77 23 DNP DNP DNP 10 3/4 35 5/8 I simply can't believe how big he is.

Tyler Biadasz Wisconsin 6-4 314 DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP 10 32 1/4 Amazing tape. Any chance he makes the 3rd?

Ben Bredeson Michigan 6-5 315 DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP 10 1/8 31 1/8 Love him, where does he go?

Cohl Cabral Arizona State 6-5 300 DNP DNP DNP 20 DNP DNP DNP 10 32 1/4 Smooth but kind of underwhelming ... backup at best.

Saahdiq Charles LSU 6-4 321 5.05 5.06 1.87 DNP DNP DNP DNP 10 33 Gotta move him inside ... again, is he there in the 3rd?

Cameron Clark Charlotte 6-4 308 5.29 5.29 1.81 26 DNP 25 8-5 11 34 1/8 I thought he had a GREAT day. Anyone familiar with his tape? will he make the 6th?

Ezra Cleveland Boise St. 6-6 311 4.93 4.94 1.73 30 7.26 30 9-3 9 33 3/8 Short arms but the short area smoothness and quickness makes up for it. 3rd?

Trystan Colon-Castillo Missouri 6-3 313 DNP DNP DNP 11 DNP DNP DNP 9 1/4 30 1/2 Backup OG.

Lloyd Cushenberry LSU 6-3 312 5.27 5.28 1.82 25 DNP DNP DNP 10 3/8 34 1/8 Wanted to see his mobility and was bummed ... but one of these guys is making the 3rd.

Jack Driscoll Auburn 6-5 306 5.02 5.02 1.74 23 DNP 29.5 9-6 9 7/8 33 I think he's a 6th man that can play 4 positions on the line but you'd rather not start him.

Yasir Durant Missouri 6-6 331 5.52 5.53 1.95 21 DNP 25 DNP 9 1/2 34 3/4 "Doesn't really want it" is what I heard, and the time shows that.

Jake Hanson Oregon 6-4 303 5.50 5.50 1.95 33 DNP DNP DNP 9 1/4 32 3/4 Not super athletic ... I don't know if he can make a roster at the next level after a decently solid college career....

Nick Harris Washington 6-1 302 5.10 5.10 1.76 20 DNP 29.5 8-7 9 3/4 32 1/8 He got his butt handed to him a bit at the senior bowl but he has great movement skills .. however, Brian Allen is already on our team. They're carbon copies.

Charlie Heck North Carolina 6-8 311 5.16 5.16 1.80 21 8.02 28 9-4 10 1/4 34 1/8 So if you follow me you know I've been talking this guy up a while. I like his game. I like that he's the son of a coach. He needs to put on muscle ... but he has a good head on his shoulders. How far does he fall? In the 6th round Im doing backflips if he's on the board.

Matt Hennessy Temple 6-4 307 5.18 5.19 1.80 23 7.45 30 9-2 10 32 1/4 He's my type of center and I believe he's off the board in the first frame or low 30s.

Justin Herron Wake Forest 6-4 308 5.26 5.26 1.88 27 8.41 33 9-9 8 7/8 33 1/2 Backup. Not bad. Solid feet.

Robert Hunt Louisiana-Lafayette 6-5 323 DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP 10 3/4 33 1/2 This is an intrigue guy for me ... someone will be making the 3rd round.

Keith Ismael San Diego St. 6-3 309 5.34 5.35 1.81 DNP 8.14 32 9-0 10 32 1/4 Backup only I think ...

Cordel Iwuagwu TCU 6-3 309 5.22 5.23 1.80 25 8.03 27 7-10 10 1/8 33 3/4 Had a better outing than I expected.

Austin Jackson USC 6-5 322 5.07 5.07 1.73 27 7.95 31 9-1 10 1/4 34 1/8 Tested better than his tape.

Jonah Jackson Ohio St. 6-3 306 5.23 5.23 1.84 28 7.83 26 8-2 10 1/2 33 1/2 Tape never popped for me.

Joshua Jones Houston 6-5 319 5.27 5.28 1.81 24 DNP 28.5 9-1 10 1/8 33 7/8 I thought he had a bit of a rough day ... maybe slides to the bottom of the second.

Solomon Kindley Georgia 6-3 337 DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP 10 32 1/4 Georgia was a group of maulers.

Shane Lemieux Oregon 6-4 310 5.11 5.11 1.83 DNP 8.13 25.5 8-11 9 1/2 32 1/4 Decent day, is a mauler. Im not interested until the 3rd, and he is unlikely to get there.

Damien Lewis LSU 6-2 327 5.24 5.24 1.83 27 DNP 30 9-0 10 1/4 33 A little stiff and choppy so I don;t know if he works in our scheme.

Colton McKivitz West Virginia 6-6 306 5.35 5.35 1.80 20 7.87 26 8-10 10 33 3/4 Backup OT only.

John Molchon Boise St. 6-5 309 5.13 5.13 1.80 26 7.85 34 9-1 9 1/2 31 1/8 Helped himself with a solid day ... still a late round guy with reallllly short arms.

Kyle Murphy Rhode Island 6-3 316 5.30 5.30 1.86 19 7.81 28 8-8 10 33 7/8 Was nice to make his acquaintance. haven't seen tape but he jumped for me ... 6th round? 7th?

Netane Muti Fresno St. 6-3 315 DNP DNP DNP 44 DNP DNP DNP 10 5/8 31 3/4 Beast with injury issues, wish him the best but I can't put him on my board

Lucas Niang TCU 6-6 315 DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP 10 1/2 34 1/4 Measures out well, no field work. I like him, just not THAT much.

Mike Onwenu Michigan 6-3 344 DNP DNP DNP 26 DNP DNP DNP 10 1/2 34 3/8 That whole line was maulers.

Matt Peart Connecticut 6-7 318 5.06 5.01 1.75 26 8.01 30 9-5 9 1/2 36 5/8 Great field work, lower body a little brittle.

Tyre Phillips Mississippi St. 6-5 331 5.37 5.38 1.84 22 8.17 25 7-9 10 3/8 35 1/8 Needs to be a better athlete. Take better care of his body, He does some things well and other things terribly.

Danny Pinter Ball St. 6-4 306 4.91 4.91 1.73 24 7.76 29.5 9-2 9 1/2 31 7/8 This guy was a revelation. Great field work and great feet. Even took snaps for being a center. This is our run scheme right?

Cesar Ruiz Michigan 6-3 307 5.08 5.08 1.77 28 7.91 33 9-5 11 33 1/8 Should be a first rounder plug and play. Great day.

Jon Runyan Michigan 6-4 306 5.08 5.08 1.79 24 7.57 30.5 8-11 9 1/8 33 1/4 I Like this kid a lot, have all year. I think he's a left guard. I'd take him in the 6th in a half second.

John Simpson Clemson 6-4 321 5.24 5.24 1.81 34 8.03 30 8-11 11 1/4 34 1/8 Powerful dude who played injured a lot this year ... could be a steal ... no idea where he goes.

Terence Steele Texas Tech 6-6 312 5.03 5.03 1.74 27 DNP 27.5 8-10 9 1/2 35 1/8 A little stiff. Stiffer than I want.

Logan Stenberg Kentucky 6-6 317 5.30 5.31 1.86 DNP 8.00 26 8-8 10 1/4 32 1/2 I like this kid a lot. He's heavy handed and pops people really hard ... but might not be a fit for our scheme?

Simon Stepaniak Indiana 6-4 313 DNP DNP DNP 37 DNP DNP DNP 10 3/8 32 Lots of strength ... Indiana has a solid program for running ... this guy could be a hidden gem.

Alex Taylor South Carolina St. 6-8 308 5.09 5.10 1.79 21 7.77 25 9-8 11 1/4 36 1/8 Needs a year to catch up to the speed.

Andrew Thomas Georgia 6-5 315 5.22 5.22 1.83 21 7.58 30.5 9-1 10 1/4 36 1/8 I feel like the top 3 guys could go top 10.

Calvin Throckmorton Oregon 6-5 317 5.57 5.58 1.95 23 8.07 27 8-1 9 1/2 32 1/2 Disappointed throughout the postseason and is basically undraftable.

Prince Tega Wanogho Auburn 6-5 308 DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP DNP 10 3/8 33 1/2 I'm not high on this guy.

Darryl Williams Mississippi St. 6-2 304 5.23 5.24 1.80 23 7.88 25.5 8-8 9 3/4 32 1/8 So, scheme fit? I like him at OC or OG as a beast ... the only guy I'd consider spending a 4th on ...

Jedrick Wills Alabama 6-4 312 5.05 5.05 1.81 DNP DNP 34.5 9-5 10 34 1/4 Top 10.

Isaiah Wilson Georgia 6-6 350 5.32 5.33 1.79 26 8.26 29 9-2 10 1/4 35 1/2 So ... first, wow. Im guessing not our style but he had a good day.

Tristan Wirfs Iowa 6-5 320 4.85 4.86 1.69 24 7.65 36.5 10-1 10 1/4 34 Put on a show.

Questions and comments welcome ... I still have RBs to do since we have a big hole there now ...

Also, there are guys not on this list that I have 3rd round grades on because they were snubbed. Lots of talent this year.
