TO fix This Guaranteed Non Guaranteed, I think there should be a way that when there is an injury like Gurley that robs the athlete of his abilities, that the money shouldn't count against the cap.

The problem is that is so subjective, but I get the players wanting all the money guaranteed and upfront in football where top 10 players can become average players at the blink of an eye.

I think if a player is on the injury report for a certain number of weeks and comes back not the same player, the team should be able to cut or trade the player without cap hit. That way, teams would be more likely to guarantee more money and these stupid holdouts may be reduced. The holdouts of NFL players to me is one of the worst parts of the NFL.

Bad enough that they miss preseason, but sometimes players miss actual games. The teams have a cap to manage and the player knows if the money isn't guaranteed, he may never see the money because of injury. I know they still have to pay the player if he is indeed injured, but what is missing is when the player comes back, the player can't play at the same high level.
