Don't know about his other stops but I studied a good amount of Eddie Jackson film during 2018. That was a zone defense. Eddie is pretty unique player in his skillset--his range is ridiculous. We don't have a guy who can do what Eddie did for them so likely he will not reproduce that specific scheme imo.
Can Jackson play man as well as Ramsey?
If not, and it's not likely, then all that Chicago D was doing was taking advantage of a personnel strength.
Ramsey plays man and so Staley would be negligent to make the Rams a primary zone team, just as Fangio would have been negligent to make Jackson play man primarily.
