The fact that you get potentially great players in the 1st rd and lock them in for 5 years at a cheap salary cannot be understated. Having great talent on cheap, rookie deals is a huge part of a team's success.
I used to agree that you do what it takes to get transcendent players on your team. However, I think the rams are just too far away to make this kind of deal. It really limits your ability to resign Littleton or Fowler, or bring in some solid free agents.
Secondly, I think the jury is still kinda out on Ramsey. He was good not great for us last year right? He is not AD talent. And, he is the kind of guy that claims injury until he forces a trade. He also calls QBs "trash" etc.... its not always the best look. I get it, he's great and brash and walks the walk, but he can be quite the diva. hope that doesn't burn us.
