So basically the Rams had to decide to pay Goff the top slotted QB (2nd contract) salary OR let him walk.
Tough call. Not many alternatives for the Rams, especially after giving up so many picks to move up.
So by paying earlier, that would lessen the blow financially if Goff doesn't pan out...right?
