My point is not to get political, but my recollection is that we have a sitting President accused of everything under the sun, none of it validated, and yet at least half the country and all the media not only believe the accusations but have him convicted (and so this isn't taken wrong..... should he be found guilty of something serious, appropriate action needs to happen).
And besides politicians, we have high level businessmen, rich ones of course, accused by women of terrible things and they are instantly found guilty by the media and a goodly portion of the public because to push back against a female accuser is to be anti-women. Then we have the Hollywood types who are found to be liars and perverts, but are defended vigorously, pretty much no matter what their offense.
I could go on. But the point is that the era we're in the accusation is all the proof needed, and the public and media convicts those who aren't popular and protects those who are.
Not only that, but in the case of AB and the Pats, you have serial offenders who have played at and beyond the margins for a long time. And so borrowing from the philosophy of "if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck.....it's probably a duck", it ought to come as no surprise that the Pats are smack dab in the middle of AB's ambitions and unethical efforts. And, it'll come as no surprise that the League will be deadly silent on it since Kraft is the NFL Godfather.
This stuff stinks to the high heavens.
