Is it a prospect who can be a threat as a receiver? A surprise rotational who breaks the backend?
Is it as an insurance package in case of injury?
As a situational inline blocker?
Simply a special teams blocker, and coverage?
For me
Injury insurance, and foremost a inline blocker in that situation.
Of course, who would complain if one of this newbies pans out as beast down the field
But, as professed by many, tight end is the most complex spot on offense.
Sure bring us a prospect as a WR, but sure as heck don't commit pre-snap penalties with crucial moments on the line and a game to be won.
