I agree with the overall perspective that shows the Rams have more in place as of March 14th than most teams. And why they are unlikely to make big free agent splashes as a result. But a couple points:
I have a hard time seeing Demby as more than the 8th OL (i.e. inactive on game days), let alone starting over Blythe. Maybe he elevates to a gameday active. Maybe. But I think their top two OL backups come through free agency and this Draft.
On the DL they have flexibility given Brockers and Donald both move around. They could draft a NT like Lawrence at 31 (which I would love). They could draft a DE. Franklin-Myers is in line to take on a bigger workload. Again I think DL depth will be added via free agency and then the Draft to build out a good 5-man rotation. Could the new DL coach Henderson be trying to get someone like Philon or Square to come over from the Chargers?
Ebukam is penciled in at one OLB right now but I am sure they are looking hard at edge rushers and at 31 that's one of their two preferences (along with DT/NT). I would rather see Ebukam as a situational player vs. every down guy. And I'm also hoping Okoronkwo and Fox can be situational contributors on the edge.
Wildcard: While I think it's doubtful, you have to think TE is still in play at #31 depending on how the top 30 picks go. It is possible.
