I don't see LB as a need. They have their starters and they're good (Quinn should have no issue at Edge Rusher....health is the only concern). The LB "need" is for depth only. That is certainly important, but the much bigger priority is where offensive starters are written in in very light pencil. They don't have the full compliment of WRs or TEs they need. They are also iffy on the Oline.
For me the question is if they want to draft very strategically for the future and not as much for 2017. RE: dump Quinn after 2017 and save over $11mil in cap space. If that is important enough to them, then if the right edge rusher is there at 37, you take him. But if it is only for LB depth, then I think you take one of TE or WR and take an edge rusher later. Of course there are so many moving pieces in a draft that, who knows, a highly rated Guard or OT could be sitting there....higher rated than any WR or TE remaining. Do you take the Olineman instead? I probably would. Not sure they would.
Just highly unpredictable. We haven't had a McVay-Snead draft; so lots of unknowns. But whereas with Fisher the default was defense; probably with McVay the default will be offense.
