They are not stupid people running that organization, so there is something going on that I don't think we (or the media) is aware of.
He's a big mouth on the wrong side of 30. How much longer can he play at a high level? Maybe two seasons? There's a lot of people on that team making big dollars. It's time to trim some of the fat, and he has some trade value. Preemptive moves like this are what make the Seahawks the team that they are. They aren't waiting for the decline of the player before they get rid of him.
