My favourite televised sporting event that did not involve the Rams, Boston Bruins or the Olympics was the 1985 NCAA basketball final between Villanova and Georgetown. That game would have been great on without play-by-play, but Musburger just added to the moment for me. Back when I still watched pre-game shows he and Irv Cross were my favourites on Sundays.
