The pressure has REALLY been applied for the upper Management to prove they are not losers and inept. Been a Ram fan for 40 years in 3 weeks. I have NEVER seen this (Not that it was needed in the 70s or 80s) Regardless of E.D.'s intentions, I think he might have started something REALLY positive.
