I can't believe that I'm coming to this guy's defense yet again. While last week's penalty was stupid beyond imagination I see equally ridiculous penalties committed from other guys. AD has gotten two 4th quarter 15-yarders that were major factors in losing those games. AO has made a bunch of them as well and comes within inches of late hits as he dives into piles at or just after the whistle.
TA has had stupid holding calls. Sims had a bunch of stupid calls early in the season. It has been a group effort. Benching the one kid to send a team message seems unfair to me. GRob has made a bunch of mistakes. He also gets holding calls which are not holding. But, if you're going to bench him, bench him. Deactivating him and letting Donnal go in at LT was asinine. He's not even a tackle. Saffold played LT and played well before getting hurt as he always has every time he plays tackle. GRob has the talent and he did try to improve going to the Bentley school. This coaching staff has eroded this kids' confidence. I know Boudreau has been given credit in the past for coaching up vets, but can he work with inexperienced kids and turn them into All Pros? We drafted a ton of kids. If this guy can't do that, he needs to go.
