the whole "Kroenke doesn't care about winning but rather making money" thing doesn't work for me. Winning is how you make money... and if simply defies rationality, for me, to think Kroenke, who is worth billions, isn't aware of that.
But you're guess is as good as mine... I'll give you that. What I think the problem is is that Kroenke really doesn't know much about how to build a winning football team and went to who was considered at the time, by many experts, the best guy available. He committed to that plan, as any good businessman would, and I don't think there's any chance in the world he's NOT questioning his decision at this time.
I think he's more than aware that some match between coordinating the timing of fielding a great team and opening the new stadium can't be manipulated overnight.... and whatever the 'plan' is it's gone of track. I can't see him waiting another two or three years to reassess. - JamesJM
