Looked to me like the initial contact on the hit was in bounds and due to the wet field the players both slid so far into the bench it looked way worse than it was. You don't pull up early on a RB while he's still inbounds, or he's liable to dot you for 5-10 more yards, or worse get by you completely. The only possible reason to pull up is if its a non-running threat QB. These days that's for sure a flag even if its close.
