That's all I could think during Hard Knocks when he was butt hurt that Goff only bought fans for the offense. Like somehow it was an offense to the 'real' part of the team.
You notice it's always the defensive players who are getting personal fouls, starting fights, etc? They know ole uncle Jeffy won't discipline them or call them on their BS.
... drafts a WR w/his second draft pik in 2012
... moves up to draft a WR w/his first pik in 2013
... drafts an LT #2 overall in 2014
... drafts a RB w/his first pik in 2015 and a whole bunch of OL
... gives up a lot of picks to draft a QB #1 overall
And from that you conclude that he has a distaste for offense?
He certainly hasn't proven himself able to generate even an average offense. But his draft record alone says that he's trying VERY hard to improve there.
When you shine the light on what you stated, clearly the Fish man tried very hard to upgrade the offense via the draft. I rooted for him and gave him 2 mulligans more than many on this board.
Meaning I forgave his 2014 and 2015 seasons and was on board with him being the HC in 2016 and getting an extension if he could squeeze out even a 9-7 record. I finally waved the white flag after the Panthers game.
To your point though, yes he was showing that he had a taste for the offense and that can easily be overlooked by many fans because of how poorly these players acquired have developed.
His choices of OC's have put a bad dis-taste in all of our mouths. His game management also shows a distaste for the offense but that's another subject.
I sure hope Kroenke balls up and doesn't give the Fish man another mulligan when this season comes to a bitter end.
