Uncannily similar to what I expected in fact.. that is: rookie mistakes, (jitters included), and also what a truly 'good arm' looks like. And that even though his spirals weren't very pretty, ( weather?), and he seemed to be high on a lot of his passes.
I was truly in awe of his "Hail Mary" arm... a bit confused by there not being a single Ram receiver in the landing zone... both as to 'why they weren't there' and why Goff didn't notice they weren't there although that second point was that I think it was a lob meant to bring about a jump ball but was thrown much to hard with too low a trajectory for that to occur.
His movement in the pocket I thought good... and identical to his college video. I didn't read it as 'too quick' to bail or 'jittery'... (My use of the word jittery above relates only to the errant throws) and yes... he seemed very elusive to me.
My big 'worry', ( I demand that every game award me something to cause curling up in the fetal position) was what was going on with the WR's. I know for a fact Goff was looking 'deeper' several times, (not enough but it happened), and then settling for something underneath. Why? I don't know. My worry is: poor routes, separation, by our WR's... but it 'could' have been over cautiousness as well. I don't lean either way right now because I just don't know. Hopefully Blue and Gold's better video will show us.
I saw no timidity in Goff...loved it. I 'believe' I saw more energy, loved that as well.
