Would you change your mind if you knew that Fisher would refuse to ever give FULL control of the offense to anyone else?
All IMO, but...every defense-oriented head coach in the league maintains a say over the offense. They all put the offense on the field THEY want. That aside, I actually don't think many people know what a Fisher offense IS. They seem to think it's something it isn't.
For example, people are clamoring because the offense produced less yardage than it normally does, and then, inexplicably, some take that as meaning that what we saw in MIami IS The Fisher Offense. No it wasn't.
That wasn't the Fisher offense. Not if you compare it to the other games. It was a scaled down, less effective version of it. (Granting that they have not been tops this year). And I think what accounts for the anomaly is all just completely circumstantial. Things unique to the Miami game.
There was a point this year where the Rams were 2nd in the league in yards per passing attempt. That 4.3 YPA game Goff had the other day is an anomaly. As we will keep finding out in future games.
Count that as my 2 cents, and let's not get into one of those tedious right-margin pushing minutia wars you tend to like. There's plenty of time left this season for what I said to become obvious.
It's an ongoing discussion. Let it on-go, across time, instead of in one space.
