I love psychology and psychological theory, it's actually my main focus in life. My main focus within that is how difficult it is to change established habits ... everything in our mind is set up for stasis, creating meaningful change is nearly impossible. Well if you're interested in that consider this.
What is the psychology of magnifying one negative instance and acting as if it were typical when it's not.
That is, how many times this season has the defense caved in the last couple of minutes and given a game away?
It is happened the OTHER way far more often. Like last week, with the Ogletree INT.
Yet people seem to be acting as if this one game was representative of the defense in the final minutes.
Real "count up the actual instances" truth is, it's NOT.
So why are many of us acting like it IS.
