Goff overview a few early, made some nice quick slants,scrambled well, ran for good yardage under pressure and led us to what should have been three scores. I would've been happy with that debut, but the defining moment of why he'll be one of the great ones was his Hail Mary pass. He scrambled to his left avoiding a sack which would've gotten CK and threw off balance 65 yards in the air to the middle of the end zone. An incredible play! We win the game right? Well no. Because our collection of pass droppers didn't get under it to catch it. Maybe they couldn't believe the kid could make that play, but it proves to me we need a real number one receiver. Isaac Bruce catches that throw. Larry Fitzgerald grabs it. Jerry Rice makes that every time. Lynn Swan yep. Big time players make big time plays but it takes two for a great pass play. It takes a great pass. Check. It takes a gamer of a receiver. Nope. KB has played very well for us and looks like a 1b WR. He's a number one in a bad team and a two on a good team. TA is too small and not really a WR. Quick has mad skills but not the head. And who? Time to get that star receiver. We have the QB. We have the RB. Need the TE and the WR.
