These are the teams in the hunt. A win yesterday would have made us 5-5 and right there with the Buccs and Eagles. How sad! Crucial penalties, poor decision making and bad coaching leadership.

NFC
Vikings (6-4-0) Proj: 7th Seed
Buccaneers (5-5-0) Proj: 8th Seed
Eagles (5-5-0) Proj: 9th Seed
Cardinals (4-5-1) Proj: 10th Seed
Saints (4-6-0) Proj: 11th Seed
Panthers (4-6-0) Proj: 12th Seed
Rams (4-6-0) Proj: 13th Seed
Packers (4-6-0) Proj: 14th Seed
Bears (2-8-0) Proj: 15th Seed
49ers (1-9-0) Proj: 16th Seed

Reality for me hit when they lost to the Panthers. I had a small glimmer of false hope that Fisher's Rams could tease us and stay in the mix until the end of December if they could beat the Dolphins and Saints.

Now the only hope is Goff takes some big steps the last 6 games of the season and some correct very crucial off-season decisions are made.

The Rams should eek out 2 more low scoring wins if the Defense keeps playing with pride. The ball will be in Kroenke's court at the end of the season and I hope he and Demoff see the light.

With four more losses, he’ll be the all-time leader, climbing past Dan Reeves, who has 165.
