I think the OL thing has been a constant
Well but it hasn't been. They started last year a little rough, got injured and was a mess, and then at the end was playing well...which is pretty much the universal view of the end of the season OL in its last 4-5 games, once the lineup was GR Reynolds Barnes Wichmann Hav.
I think they adjusted because all teams always adjust. There is never any such thing as a team NOT adjusting. I think for some of us too often "loss" just automatically translates to "didn't adjust" when the truth is, most fans in the seats or in front of tv couldn't honestly tell you if the team adjusted or not, let alone how and in what ways. That's my honest view. As a rule I don't get into adjustment talk unless someone can give me very specific XYZs of it.
In terms of the medium range pass, I can compare Keenum last year to this year on attempts in the 11-20 yard range and 21-30 yard range. I actually am typing this before I know what I will find.
2016
passes of 11-20 yards, percentage of total attempts = 18.6%
passes of 21-30 yards, percentage of total attempts = 6%
11-30 yards combined........................................ = 24.6%
2015
passes of 11-20 yards, percentage of total attempts = 11.5%
passes of 21-30 yards, percentage of total attempts = 5.7%
11-30 yards combined........................................ = 17.2%
There. Done. So this year they're throwing more in that 11-20 yard range. I don't if that fits what you're saying or not but I think it does (about being more vertical).
