I find to hard to believe that Goff is anywhere near ready... And he got banged up at least twice in preseason... I'd rather he hit the weights and really learn the playbook and maybe get in a few quarters here and there.
I don't really think that the Rams get very far with Keenum but that is mostly because of Boras. That said, Boras is still learning the job and Keenum is slowly improving. So by the end of the season, I could see a scenario where the offense (game planned for a
mobile Case Keenum) could score enough to have a chance to win more than they lose. And to me, that would be monumental. Anything more than that is almost too hard to comprehend after the last 10+ years... and a very welcome sight...
So I don't really care how well Keenum does, I'd play Mannion if I were to replace him. Goff rides the bench this season or plays late especially if the Rams are statistically out of the hunt. I would prefer Goff to actually be ready mentally and physically. And I understand that I don't know whether he is or isn't but from what I saw in preseason, I have a hard time believing he is "ready". Just a non-issue for me.
