I get that some players need time, but in today's NFL with a 4 year contract, you really need some production sooner than year 3 or 4
as they can leave when they begin to round out (if they do). See J Jenkins and McCleod for example.
This can be amplified for high picks as there are higher expectations to contribute- hence the high pick and higher salary/bonus.
I get that Goff needs time. Gurley just needs a good O line and a deep threat passing game.
