Well I see a problem in all of them .
Marquez might be limited physically as is Spuce , but they bring it consistently they have smart play .
Williams is un fortunately really a guy who had no downfield burst at his best in 2014 he got chased down in open field and his receptions look very very vanilla 10 -15 yards in or out . He is a redzone threat and a first down yes . Other than that not much .
Britt can get down the field for a big play and has the size to be great but for the life of me he doesn't seem all that serious or consistant.
Quick is close but may be another G.Rob mentally.
Cooper is a move the chains guy ,,and a savvy guy but not a speed guy.
Mike Thomas went down the draft because of his inconsistences and may also be a little poor in the classroom.
I'm not sure he's even got down the correct pronunciation of Goff's first name yet .
He seemed to be calling him Garrett in his interview vid the other day .
I don't believe he knew there was another Mike Thomas in this years draft .He came off a little fake to me when reporters asked him what he thought about the multiple MiKe Thomas's in the 2016 draft .
Not short on modesty when he said " There's only one Mike Thomas ". I hope he legitimately earns all that bravo by his play.
He would have looked better verifying he had at least heard of the Ohio st.'s WR by the same name unless he truly didn't know of him .
Dunno maybe that was a dis and a ego thing.
McRoberts may be a bigger guy , no top speed.
North size and speed not great on routes maybe ??
Austin Hill size and probably savvy average speed ,,late arrival but patriots practice squad experience.
T. Austin - size limitations and a bit locked in to certain pass routes that don't use downfield speed ,, timing issues maybe that way,, poor hands on deeper passes ??
You get the picture ,, we don't have anything really special here but we do have the ability to at least move the chains with some or either of these guys and get lucky on some deep passes .
Long story short we're going to keep a mix of talent some of whom will be consistent but fairly bland ,and some with the big play ability who may develop more as the season goes on but will be fairly quiet.
So a guy like North or a waiver pick-up later would still have a shot even though Thomas ,Spruce and Williams look like they are 3 of the new answers right now.
Until a superior complete receiver is found this is what we do .
Get by throwing to the TE's and RB's maybe ,, LOL
