Foles signed an incentive laden contract...

When the Los Angeles Rams chose to part ways with quarterback Nick Foles, there were a few teams who jumped out as potential landing spots. One of those teams was the Dallas Cowboys, who lost No. 2 quarterback Kellen Moore to a broken fibula earlier this week.

Apparently, the idea of playing in Dallas couldn’t top a reunion with his former coach Andy Reid though, as Foles decided to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Chris Wesseling of NFL.com.

Foles struggled mightily in his lone season with the Rams, completing just 56.4 percent of his passes for 2,052 yards, seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 11 games. He also had a brutal QBR of 30, and a quarterback rating of 69.

As ESPN’s Adam Schefter points out, Foles’ new deal with the Chiefs is incredible incentive-based after the 2016 season.

The specific details about the incentives are unknown at this point, but it seems likely that Foles will only be with the Chiefs for one season, barring something happening to No. 1 quarterback Alex Smith.

This sets up a reunion for Foles with Reid, but regardless, Chiefs fans probably shouldn’t expect to see a whole lot of Foles this coming season.
