Montana/Walsh was the perfect football marriage.
Not sure Montana has the same level of success in another system.
Not saying he wouldn't have been good, but I don't think he would have approached the success he had with Walsh under another HC.
Well I dunno.
When you've got offensive players like Rice, Taylor, Clark, Watters, Rathman, and Craig you got a leg up on success.
The difference with Montana however is he stood up and played his best in the biggest games.
Not many pro athletes can do that, in any sport.
